Welcome

&
Jonathan
to our wedding celebration

What’s the occasion
We’re getting married!! After 4 years together, 3 houses, 3 cars, 2 kids and 1 cat, we decided it was about time to make things official. We hope you can make it to celebrate with us.

Our story
Our story is very much one of opposites attracting. Calm vs. fiery, organised vs. laissez faire, extrovert vs. introvert, extravagant vs. austere, the truth is that we balance each other out pretty well, in our own particular way…
There are two versions to our first encounter, the first in 2017 was far too fleeting and blurry to leave a lasting impact (sorry Felipe), so the first episode in our story is: ‘The one where they met in a kitchen and couldn’t leave’ , for you Friends lovers out there, (Thanks Jelena!)
There are also two versions to our engagement: one cringey version in front of our families and a second, more relaxed and memorable, on top of table Mountain in Cape Town… Again, we count the second one as the real one.

Here’s a recap in photos of our few years together

Yes, yes, we’re one of those… a ‘Covid Couple’! We met in October 2020 and made it official one month later! The rest is history…
Good thing when meeting someone when you’re ‘older’ (clearly not wiser) – when you know you know!

So, after only a few months, we properly started the adventure and moved in together
On top of our many things in common (Franco-English background, International Lycée, time spent in Strasbourg, humanitarian life, love of Asian food and single malt whisky, disdain for “les bleus”, Banksy, etc.), we shared a common passion from the onset: Skiing! The first ‘I love you’ was on top of a mountain.❤

Travel has always been an integral part of who we are, even when restricted in times of Covid (St Ger’)
Entraygues sur Truyères , Marseille, Colmar Xmas Market

We were not shy of parties either… with family and friends
And then things accelerated considerably …

And we welcomed our little ‘Peanut’ aka Elliot!
What a Rollercoaster…

But we didn’t fundamentally change… still enjoying life!
Paleo, Geneva street food Festival

Still enjoying the snow! Still travelling!
We even moved to France and bought our first house!
A bit of a rocky start, with a lot of changes, but we got there eventually!

And then this happened… On top of Table Mountain!
Followed by this… 9 months later. Our little ‘Dumpling’ aka Matilda.

And now that the family is complete!
Time to Celebrate us!

A few Tips / Asks for the day
Dress Code

Please wear whatever you want. If you need inspiration, the feel of the wedding is more ‘garden’ or ‘countryside’.
Please be aware that the weather forecast can go both ways, either dry and very hot, or wet and chilly.
Let’s pray for the first and plan for the second! If it’s a sunny day, we will be on grass all day – something to consider for your footwear.
Photos

Although there will be a photographer and a photobooth (for some more inspired photos ha!) we would love it if you could share your photos and videos taken on the day through a QR code that will be at your disposal on the tables and generally dotted around.
Please be mindful not to post on social media photos of children (or guests you don’t know) unless you have their permission.
Music

No tacky DJ here (the supply in rural France was limited and quite scary) so we will make our own playlists for the whole event.
If you have a favourite song to add to the list, or a track that reminds you of us we’d be happy to give it a listen and add it to the playlist, whether at the cocktail (more lounge-chill vibes) or on the dancefloor.
Food

The cocktail (which will cater for all tastes) will be followed by a semi-formal buffet/sit-down meal.
You will have a choice between a carnivore or vegetarian option that you’ll have to specify when you RSVP.
Children

Are of course welcome at the event! We will have a nanny/entertainment service to take care of all children aged 2yo and above.
They will have their own meal and own space to party. Please confirm attendance and age of your children when you RSVP.
Unfortunately, animals are not allowed on the premises.
Wedding Registry
We're incredibly thankful to have everything we already need, including great guests on our special day. So, we're skipping tradition and would love for you to help us create some new experiences on our Honeymoon.
